This is the procedure used to enable OPB to start from network (diskless operation).

- An adaptec SCSI controller has been removed to free up memory space for PXE option ROM execution. This operation was necessary because the bios has a limited memory space which can be used for the execution of option roms [1].

- In the bios PCI config page (Advances options -> PCI details) the memory segments have been assigned for the execution of option roms as follows:

. network option rom (slot 1) starts from rom segment C800
. fibers channel option rom (slot 7) starts from rom segment D000
. scsi controller option rom (slot 12) starts from rom segment D800

- At startup the network card boot agent has been reconfigured (by pressing CTRL+ALT+B) to start from network by default.
